(Note: This section does not apply if you are running Avorra in an Internet browser window.)
The Avorra desktop application is not eager to quit as many customers rely on the application running to take sales orders, handle customer support and communicate with suppliers and staff.
If you are using Avorra as a desktop application and need to quit it, there is a particular way you need to do this, as detailed below.
Apple MacOS
To quit the desktop application when running Avorra on Apple MacOS computers, use either of these options.
Option One
- Make the Avorra application the currently active application.
- Choose Avorra on the menu bar next to the Apple logo at the top-left corner of your screen.
- Choose the Quit submenu item under the Avorra menu.
- Accept any confirmation windows that appear to confirm you would like to quit.
- The Avorra desktop application will then genuinely quit.
Option Two
- Click the Avorra application icon on the menu bar at the top-right hand side of your screen.
- Choose the Quit submenu item under the Avorra application icon.
- Accept any confirmation windows that appear to confirm you would like to quit.
- The Avorra desktop application will then genuinely quit.
Don't Do This
If you try to quit Avorra via the dock using the Quit option by clicking on the application icon, Avorra will still be running in the background and won't genuinely quit.
If you do happen to do this and you need to reopen Avorra, choose the Avorra application icon on the menu bar at the top-right hand side of your screen, then select the Open submenu item.
Microsoft Windows
Genuine Quit
To quit the desktop application when running Avorra on Microsoft Windows computers, follow these steps:
- Make the Avorra application the currently active application.
- Choose the File menu item at the top-left corner of the application window.
- Choose the Quit submenu item.
- Read and accept the pop-up confirmation window by pressing Yes
- The Avorra desktop application will then genuinely quit.
